How to Violate Symmetry in 39 Hours

Armed with an idea and a working 400 Mev synchrocyclotron, three physicists rearrange the graduate student's apparatus and, in 39 hours, disprove a long-held belief that mirror symmetry is valid, i.e. that the laws of physics are valid in the mirror world.
