Rebecca Diesing Selected as Oliver Marcy Scholar for 2016-17

Physics and Astronomy senior Rebecca Diesing was selected as one of three Oliver Marcy Scholars. Rebecca's research advisor is Professor Farhad Yusef-Zadeh.This award is given to three Weinberg students who complete their junior year with the best record in experimental, observational or mathematical sciences. It was established in 1913 to honor Oliver Marcy, professor of natural science from 1862 to 1899, and acting president of Northwestern University from 1876 to 1881 and again in 1890. Students named as Oliver Marcy Scholars will each receive a $400 award.
